Blue Angels defeat Andrews for second win of the season

Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary basketball team snapped a 14 game home losing streak on Sunday by defeating the Cardinals of Andrews University. MMU never found a perfect rhythm offensively, but their defense carried them to a 59-42 win.

After a tight first quarter, the Blue Angels began to pull away in spite of cold shooting and took a 26-16 lead into the half.  Mount Mary would largely control the play throughout the third and fourth quarters, eventually stretching their lead to as much as 20.  The win was the second of the season for Mount Mary as the young team continues to improve in on court product and the win/loss column.

Talesa Campbell had one of her finest games as a Blue Angel, dropping in 19 points and snaring 12 rebounds.  Deja Rivers also contributed a double double on the day with 19 points of her own and 11 rebounds.
