Brianna Mendez has been named the Coast to Coast Conference women's basketball player of the week for the weekend ending on December 17th. Mendez had a fantastic week in two Blue Angel victories over Northland College and Dominican University.
The first year player from Las Vegas averaged 21 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two contests. She shot 15-31 from the floor (48%) and 10-18 from behind the three point line (56%). The Blue Angels are have won 6 of their first 12 games, and they are on pace to establish a new record for victories for the Blue Angel Basketball program. They finish their Pre-Christmas schedule on Tuesday, December 19th against the University of Olivet at 5 pm.
