Eureka, IL- The Mount Mary basketball team headed to Eureka College on Friday looking for a second straight road win and to lift their record over .500 for the season. The Red Devils of Eureka would have none of it however, Eureka dominated the turnover and rebounding battle and defeated Mt Mary by a score of 81-37.
Eureka's control on the glass and pressure packed full court defense was compounded by the fact that the open looks the Blue Angels had did not fall.
MMU shot 21-32 from the free throw line but only 14% from the floor.
Na'Zyia Bobo was the offensive standout for the Blue Angels, dropping in a season high 20 points. Sanai Ballard added nine for Mount Mary.
The Blue Angels (4-5) will not have to wait long to get back on track. MMU will host Northland College at 2 pm on Saturday, December 14th. Mount Mary has won a program record six straight at home and they will look to extend that streak to seven. All live coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
