Golfers Compete in Dual against Alverno

Milwaukee,WI- A cold and rainy month of April had made it difficult for the Mount Mary golf team to hit the links for their Spring events. However on Sunday, May 1, two Blue Angels played nine holes at Currie Park golf course in a dual event with Alverno College.

Jaclyn Hofstetter and Mary Parlier competed for Mount Mary, along with Cassandra Abarca of Alverno.  Due to a significant amount of rain on Saturday affecting the course, the golfers were only able to play nine holes.  For the Blue Angels, Hofstetter shot a 53 and Parlier a 70.

Head Coach Imani Stingley commented, "I am so proud of these students.  The highlight was definitely Jaclyn (Hofstetter) finishing her day and college career with a par."   Hofstetter is participating as a grad student for MMU and this was her final golf competition.  Her par was the only one achieved on the day by any of the three golfers.
