Ristow named AD3I Student-Athlete of the Month

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—The post-season awards keep rolling in for Mount Mary, as sophomore soccer forward Emily Ristow (Sheboygan, Wis.) was named the league's Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2012.

In the final month of the season alone, Ristow scored in each of Mount Mary's seven games and netted a total of 14 goals and three assists. She tied a season high with four goals scored in a 5-1 win over Lincoln Christian University and added a pair of hat tricks in wins over LCU and Robert Morris University-Peoria in the span of one weekend.

Ristow, a fashion design major, has smashed school records for single-season and career scoring at Mount Mary, single-handedly scoring more goals this season than the program has since in inception four years ago.
