Carlinville, IL – The Mount Mary soccer team began a two-match swing through Illinois on Friday. They were hosted by the Beavers of Blackburn College. The Blue Angels could not come away with a victory unfortunately, falling to Blackburn by a score of 5-0.
Blackburn struck twice in the first half. In half number two, more of the same occurred. The Beavers added another three tallies for the 5-0 victory.
Mount Mary totaled eight shots to 32 for Blackburn.
Mount Mary (1-4) will play one more match before returning home. The Blue Angels will seek the season's second victory when they take on the Red Devils of Eureka College. The match will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, September 17th. All live coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com.
