Madison, WI- Coming off of their first win of the season on September 8th, the Mount Mary University Soccer team hoped to grab another Sunday victory when they took on the Eagles of Edgewood College. Unfortunately, their hosts from Madison did not cooperate as they defeated the Blue Angels by a score of 9-0.
Edgewood was able to score eight first-half goals to claim a lead that would not be threatened. One goal was added in the second half as the Eagles took the match by the 9-0 final score.
Brianna Brown recorded 13 saves in net for MMU on the day. Mount Mary (1-4) will be in action again next Sunday, September 22nd. The Blue Angels will host Blackburn College in a match scheduled to begin at 11 am. It will be the first of four straight matches at home for Mount Mary.
