Blue Angels Unable to Tame Tigers

Blue Angels Unable to Tame Tigers

Milwaukee, WI-   Unlike the Mount Mary soccer team's last two contests, weather was no factor on the day as MMU hosted the Tigers of Grace Christian University.  Friday offered a picturesque afternoon as the Blue Angels welcomed their opponents from Michigan.

Carolyn Abraham stayed red hot and put the Blue Angels ahead with a first half goal.  Grace Christian would find an equalizer which sent the teams into the half tied at 1.

Unfortunately for the home fans and Mount Mary, the second half would belong to Grace Christian.  The Tigers scored three goals in the half to pull away for the 4-1 victory.

Grace Christian doubled MMU in shots on goal by a total of 14-7.

The first half goal from Carolyn Abraham was her sixth of the season.

Next up for the Blue Angels (1-6-1) is another home match.  On Friday, October 4th, Mount Mary will host the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College.  The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm and all live coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
