Milwaukee, WI- Wednesday was the penultimate home game for the 2024 Mount Mary University Soccer team. The program honored Brianna Brown, Amanda Antonio, Micaela Gonzalez, and Carolyn Abraham for their contributions to Blue Angel Soccer. In the match, the two sides played an exciting contest which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Blue Angels scored the only goal of the first half, a well-placed punt from goal from Brianna Brown and finish by Yasmin Guerrero put MMU up at the intermission.
Eureka found an equalizing goal in the 63rd minute and the match played itself out from there. The Blue Angels pressed the pace and had a handful of outstanding scoring chances which just missed.
The shots in the match were nearly even, 15 for Eureka and 13 for Mount Mary.
The next match for Mount Mary (1-9-2) will see them take one final trip to Michigan. This time the Blue Angels will head to Berrien Springs on Friday, October 18th, to take on Andrews University.
