Milwaukee, WI- Friday saw the Mount Mary University Volleyball team host the Tigers of Grace Christian University in an early afternoon match.
Set one saw Mount Mary show a great deal of resilience. The Blue Angels came from behind and took set one by a 25-23 score. In set two, Grace Christian turned the tables. The Tigers came back from four points down for a 25-22 win to even the match at 1 set apiece.
The third set saw Grace Christian pull out a 25-19 victory. In the fourth, Grace Christian would end the match with a 25-13 set win.
Emma White recorded 15 kills and 13 assists. Anastasia Paulino led the Blue Angels with 17 assists on the match. Abigail Manthey played a stellar defensive match. Manthey recorded 32 digs, many of the acrobatic variety to extend several key points in the match.
Mount Mary (3-15) will next be in action on Tuesday, October 22nd. MMU will cross the Illinois border to take on the Regents of Rockford University. The match will begin at 5 pm, and all live coverage is available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
