Milwaukee, WI- The Blue Angel volleyball team hosted the Thunder of Trine University on Friday night at the Bloechl Center. MMU knew they faced a steep task as Trine came into the match with a 16-4 record. Trine would live up to their pristine record as they defeated Mount Mary in straight sets.
The Thunder controlled the first set and won it by a 25-12 final score. Trine rolled in the second set as well by the score of 25-10. Mount Mary would lead 6-2 in the third, but the Thunder would rumble back and clinch the match with a 25-18 win.
Digging into the stats from the match, Rosalinda Palacios recorded five kills to lead the Blue Angels. Abigail Manthey had ten digs and Emma White recorded eight assists.
Mount Mary (3-17) will be back in action on Saturday, October 26th with two matches. At 10 am, Trine and MMU will play once again, and later in the day, Mount Mary will complete their home schedule with a 2 pm match against Moody Bible. Prior to the start of that match, the Blue Angel volleyball program will celebrate senior day 2024.
