Geneva, IL- The Mount Mary Cross Country team finished 11th of 15 teams at Saturday's Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Meet. Jamy McClain was the high finisher for MMU in 62nd place.
The event was held at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva, Illinois and featured 102 runners. Following McClain for the Blue Angels were Ellie McMeeken in 72nd and Jennifer Villarreal in 87th.
Six Blue Angels in total completed the race with Michelle Herrera Carmona in 95th, Emma Eisch in 99th and Makayla Smith 100th. The team score in the conference meet is a clear step forward for the program under first year head coach Laura Sanders.
