Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary and Alverno cross country teams met in a dual meet at Greenfield Park on Friday, October 6th. 11 runners completed the race, six from MMU and five from Alverno. Micaela Gonzalez of the Blue Angels was the top finisher in the race, with a time of 25:31.
Brianna Mendez finished fourth, followed by Vanessa Diaz, Aliana Gutierrez, and Micaela Wesley in 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively. Janyia Johnson also completed the race for Mount Mary.
Next up for the Blue Angel runners will be a meet held at Beloit College on Saturday, October 14th. The meet will begin at 11 am. Stay tuned to www.mtmaryathletics.com for all MMU Cross Country updates.
