The Trojans are coming into today's doubleheader at 7-19 after losing their last three straight. Most recently, TIU was swept in their two game series against conference foe Purdue-Calumet.

So far this season the Trojans are hitting a .202 batting average. With a full complement of at-bats this season, Alyssa Doomis leads that offensive charge with a .297 batting average and a .388 on-base percentage. Teammate Tori Livingston is right behind Doomis in batting average hitting .275 at the plate and bringing in a team leading 17 RBIs.

On the field, the Trojans do not give up many extra outs as the team fielding percentage is sitting at .927 with 58 errors in 26 games. Coupled with that stringent defense, Taylor Carli has kept her team in games throwing a 3.85 ERA. Carli has taken the bulk of the action in the circle as she has logged 154.2 innings out of the teams 172.2 total innings.

The Blue Angels are sitting at 2-11 this season after they most recently lost a pair of games against the University of Chicago.

After the Blue Angels started off with a tough schedule, they have been able to pick up the offense in their last few doubleheaders. After a breakout performance against Grinnell, the Blue Angels look to continue to keep their bats going.

At this point in the season, the Blue Angels are hitting .213 as a team with a .258 on-base percentage. Newcomer Peyton Davis (Fr./Tracy, Calif.) has stepped in her short time in the navy and gold. Hitting .303 at the plate with 10 hits and 3 RBIs.

Ashley Contreras (So./College Station, Texas) has led at the dish while also taking the majority of the innings in the circle. Contreras leads the team with 11 hits, eight homeruns and three doubles. Pitching, Contreras has come out this season striking out an average of 5.15 batters a game while holding an ERA of 7.45.
