NCAA Series: MMU leads 15-8.

Fresh after losing a three game series to Finlandia, the Sabercats come into today's game at 4-8, playing nine of those games in the last seven days.

The Sabercats have had plenty of success in the batter's box this season. As a team, MBU has a .296 batting average. 27 of their 88 team hits have gone for extra bases a majority of those have come from the heart of the order.

Emily Booger leads the team with 19 hits, a .559 batting average, seven doubles, three triples and nine base on balls. Teammate Allison Epperly might not have the stratospheric numbers of Booger, but with her 10 hits, four doubles and one triple, she also leads the team with 15 RBIs.

In the circle, the Sabercats sport a team ERA of 9.30. Maisy Aldridge has been given the bulk of the innings, leading the team with 41.0 of the 70.0 team innings pitched. Pitching to contact and working the corners, Aldridge leads her team with a 2-5 record and 12 strikeouts.

The Blue Angels are coming off a pair of losses against Trinity International. Although the Blue Angels got swept, the MMU bats scattered 17 hits in the doubleheader. Game one included the majority of the hits. Involved in almost every scoring play in that game, Jess Runge (Jr./Freedom, Wis.) went a perfect 4-of-4 from the dish including her second triple of the season.

As the season progresses, the Blue Angels pitching staff has reverted back to form. Ashley Contreras (So./College Station, Texas) leads the team in innings pitched(43.2), strikeouts (32), and ERA (6.89). Fellow hurler Nikki Festge (Sr./Menomonee Falls, Wis.) has continued to cut down batters averaging 4.43 strikeouts per game.
