Mount Mary vs Silver Lake

Mount Mary vs Silver Lake

Game Time: Tues. Jan. 26, 2016 7:00 pm
Place: UW-Manitowoc Gymnasium
NCAA Series: Lakers leads 7-2

This season, the Lakers are 13-4 and coming off an 88-60 loss to Clarke University. Before that, Silver Lake was on a nine game winning streak with victories over opponents such as Maranatha Baptist and Andrews University. This last weekend, the Blue Angels lost to MBU and AU at the Bloechl Center.

The Lakers are prone to run the floor on both sides of the ball. SLC averages 71.2 field goals attempted per game while shooting 39.4 percent from the field this season. As the team drops 75.4 points per game, the average point differential sits at +21.0.

Leading the way for the Lakers is Raelyn Woock who averages 12.1 points per game, 9.9 rebounds per game, and 1.6 blocks per game. While only one other teammate averages double-digits in points per game, five other Lakers average over 7 points a night.

As much as SLC shares the scoring across the team, they share the workload as well as 11 of the 12 players' average no more than 27 minutes per game and no less than 10 minutes. Translating into a very fast paced game.

MMU is 2-7 on the season. After a pair of losses at their home doubleheader, MMU hits the road for a pair of games. The Blue Angels are averaging 39.4 points per game while opponents are scoring an average of 60.1 points per game. As a team, MMU is shooting field goals at a 27.8 percent clip.

MMU is fueled on offense by Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) who averages a team leading 13.7 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game and 2.8 blocks per game. Onan's performance has her in the top five in the Great South Athletic Conference in points per game, rebounds per game, and leads the conference in blocks per game.
