Mount Mary vs Silver Lake II

Game Time: Thu. Feb. 11, 2016 6:00 pm
Place: Bloechl Center
NCAA Series: Lakers leads 8-2.

The Lakers come into the Bloechl with an 18-4 record. After a 10 game winning streak was ended by an 88-60 loss to Clarke University, Silver Lake began their current four game winning streak with a 60-21 victory over MMU.

SLC runs the court on both ends while utilizing their entire roster. Although starting center Raelyn Woock leads the team in scoring and rebounds, two of her teammates average a combined 19.3 points coming off the bench. In fact, of the 71.4 points per game the Lakers score, 36.9 comes from non-starters.

The Blue Angels are coming off a two game winning streak. The last time MMU basketball had won consecutive games was in February of 2012, when the Blue Angels won three straight on their way to the school's best NCAA-era record of 8-13.

With four games left, the 2015-16 Blue Angels have a chance to tie the regular season record. In the last two games, the Blue Angels have averaged 17.1 more points than their season average. Some of that offense has been ignited by Jess Runge (Jr./Freedom, Wis.) who has averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 steals in those wins.

Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) has led the charge all season averaging a team leading 14.1 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game and a Great South Athletic Conference leading 2.9 blocks per game.
