The Cardinals are 7-14 on the season, with a win over MMU on Jan. 26. Since that win against the Blue Angels, Andrews has lost seven in a row. Including a 74-17 loss to Silver Lake, a team MMU lost to 74-38 two weeks ago.
Kia Williams is the feature of the Cardinals offense this season. Williams averages 13.4 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game. All that while shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 77.8 from the free throw line.
Andrews averages 41.8 points per game and shoots field goals at a 33.1 percent clip. In comparison, the Blue Angels Average 42.2 points per game and shoots 28.1 percent from the field. In fact, comparing the teams via team stats no major differences standout. A slight edge would be given to the Blue Angels in blocks and assists.
This season, Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) leads the Blue Angels with 14.1 points per game, 9.2 rebounds per game and 3.1 blocks per game. Her teammate Jess Runge (Jr./Freedom, Wis.) follows with 8.4 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, while leading the team in assists per game (3.1) and steals per game (2.8).
The duo leads the Great South Athletic Conference defensively as Onan is atop the blocks per game category, and Runge leads steals per game.
