Over the last year Cody Tesch has been a consistent presence in the Mount Mary Athletic Department, serving as head athletic trainer and interim head softball coach. It has been announced that Tesch will officially transition into the role of Associate Director of Athletics while continuing as head athletic trainer for Blue Angel Athletics.
"This has been an exciting month for Blue Angel athletics;" said Director of Athletics Natalie Balleto, "we are celebrating our transition to the NAIA/CCAC and sharing our growth within our department. We wrap up the good news with announcing the promotion of Cody Tesch. Cody has been a tremendous asset and team player over this last school year. He's given a lot to the department and the student-athletes during his time. His transition to Associate Director of Athletics while maintaining his Head Athletic Trainer role will enhance our athletics senior leadership team and continue to promote a balanced healthy experience for the student-athletes."
In addition to his extensive experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Tesch brings years of experience in coaching and administration, primarily at Nicolet High School, where he most recently served as the Knights Varsity softball coach. Tesch was a four year baseball student athlete at Cardinal Stritch University, and has also coached wrestling for several years at Nicolet and over the last year has ascended to the Varsity Coach of the Nicolet Wrestling program as well.
Tesch received his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology Athletic Training from Concordia University Wisconsin and also possesses a Coaching Minor. His extensive athletic training background also includes eight years as the Athletic Trainer for the Milwaukee Fire Department.
