Mount Mary University is a proud member of the NAIA and fully supports the Champions of Character initiative. This program is part of student-athlete education that promotes its five core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

Within Blue Angels Athletics, we promote the Champions of Character initiative through:

• Serving the community we live in and beyond through service projects, mission trips and other opportunities to better our community
• Participating in the Character-Driven Coaching seminar, which trains coaches to use these techniques during practices and to help instill the above qualities in their athletes
• Maintaining these qualities at all matches with hospitality from staff and through the good sportsmanship of our student-athletes
