NCAA Era Series: Alverno leads 10-0
The Inferno are in a time of change in their soccer program. So far this season Alverno is 0-2, and were picked 10th in the preseason NACC coaches poll. The two big changes for the Inferno may hit home to some Blue Angels fans, the team lost their top scorer from last year, and made a coaching change.
The sudden unanticipated loss of Jackie Vanderkolk and her 18 goals will make things difficult to start the season, but the Inferno own the NCAA series against the Blue Angels 10-0. It seems they always bring their a-game when they play the Blue Angels.
So far, MMU is sitting at 0-2 this year. They also made a coaching change and lost their main offensive outlet in Emily Ristow. So far, the addition of Ashley Pfeifer (Fr./Elkhart Lake, Wis.) and Karina Salgado (Fr./Chicago, Ill.) might be the solution to the missing offense from 2014.
