NCAA Era Series: Lakeland leads 2-1
The Muskies may lead the head-to-head series since joining the NCAA, but the most recent dual match went in favor of MMU. In fact, that 9-0 win against Lakeland was the first dual match sweep since the switch to NCAA for the Blue Angels.
This season the Muskies are 0-2 (0-2) with loss coming against Concordia Chicago and Dominican University. The Muskies kept those 5-4 losses close. A few points for the Muskies have been given away via default, an issue the Blue Angels hope to avoid.
MMU is coming off a hard doubleheader in Madison, Wis. where they lost to both MSOE and Edgewood. The Blue Angels are 0-5 (0-3) on the season and looking to continue their progress in conference play. The doubleheader was the first team points earned by MMU in the 2015-16 season, Krista Olson (Sr./Appleton, Wis.) was instrumental in that upstart winning points for her team in both games last Sunday.
The absence of Marissa Rechlicz (So./West Allis, Wis.) in games past and some injuries have led to some tough matches for MMU. With a few days rest and Rechlicz with the team, the Blue Angels expect a solid dual match.
