The Archers are 2-15 on the season with their two wins of the season coming against Illinois Tech and Lincoln Christian. In a similar fashion to the Blue Angels, Moody Bible defeated IIT 63-46.
One of the 15 losses for MBI comes from the previous matchup between these schools. MMU started the game off on a record pace hitting 9-of-9 from the floor. It was an unbelievable quarter for the Blue Angels scoring 31 of the teams 60 points in the frame. That stands out more than any other quarter this year as MMU averages 41.9 points per game.
This season, the Archers similarly score 41.2 points per game. A slight edge in shooting, MBI averages 32.3 percent from the field against MMU's 27.8 percent.
Offensively, the Archers are led by Olivia Hunter who averages 14.4 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game.
This season, Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) has led the Blue Angels in multiple categories with 13.9 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game and 3.0 blocks per game. Three of the six teams in the Great South Athletic Conference, besides MMU, have few than 50 team blocks on the season; Onan has recorded 51 blocks this season.
Jess Runge (Jr./Freedom, Wis.) and Ariel Oviedo (Jr./Freedom, Wis.) have strengthen the defense taking away an average of 2.7 and 2.4 steals per game respectively. That duo has Runge atop the GSAC in steals per game, and Oviedo not far behind at third.
The night will be a host to "Pizza Wars" where fans in attendance will have a chance to sample the area's finest pizzerias for no extra charge. Along with the free pizza, the Blue Angels fans will pay tribute to Shandrieka Richardson (Sr./Atlanta, Ga.). The senior point guard has laced up as a Blue Angels since 2011, and will play her final NCAA game in the Bloechl Center.
