Fredericksburg, Virginia – Heading into Saturday's match up against the Pratt Institute, the Mount Mary volleyball team knew a few things. 5th place in the Coast 2 Coast conference would be on the line, and it would be their final match of the season. The match was tight throughout, and though they fell in four sets, the Blue Angels showed the same fight and resilience that they have all season.
Today is the final day of the season recap and conference tournament preview for the 2022 Mount Mary Volleyball team. Friday, November 4th, the team will begin play in the C2C conference tournament in Fredericksburg, Virginia, against the Gulls of Salisbury University.
Today we continue the recap of the 2022 Mount Mary Volleyball season. The team heads to the Coast 2 Coast conference tournament this Friday and Saturday, with an automatic birth to the NCAA tournament on the line.
Over the next three days, we will look back at the 2022 Mount Mary Volleyball season as they head to the University of Mary Washington for the Coast 2 Coast Conference Tournament. The 2022 Blue Angel team has won more matches than any MMU squad since 2012.
Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary volleyball team headed into day two of the 2022 MMU Fall invite hoping to snap a three-match winless streak. That was not in the cards on Saturday however, as the Blue Angels fell to two tough opponents in Alma College and Maranatha Baptist University.
Watertown, WI- The Mount Mary volleyball team has consistently shown a refusal to give up and a great amount of fight all season. That was apparent again on Thursday, as the young Blue Angel squad rallied back from two sets down to even the match against Maranatha Baptist. MMU won the third and fourth sets, but the homestanding Sabercats took set 5 and defeated Mount Mary for a third time this season.
Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary Blue Angel volleyball team took care of business Saturday against Finlandia. The Blue Angels defeated the Lions for the second time this season in a three set sweep. With their 8th win of the season, the Blue Angels have clinched the best MMU volleyball season since 2012, a great accomplishment for the young squad.
Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary volleyball team hosted Maranatha Baptist University on Friday evening at the Bloechl Center. The Blue Angels hoped to avenge an earlier loss to the Sabercats, but it was not to be on this night. Maranatha won a competitive match by a 3 sets to 1 final.
Appleton, WI- The Mount Mary volleyball team went to Lawrence University Tuesday, and displayed some of their best play of the season against the Vikings. Mount Mary cruised to a three set sweep and with their seventh victory of the season have matched their win total from the entire 2021 campaign.
Milwaukee, WI- Coming off a series of close losses, the Mount Mary Volleyball team looked to regain some momentum when they hosted local rival Alverno College on Wednesday. For the second time this season, the Blue Angels handled the Inferno at the Bloechl Center, this time in a three set sweep.

MILWAUKEE, WI – Heading into a three-match weekend at Milwaukee School of Engineering, the Mount Mary Volleyball team hoped to get off to a strong start in Friday’s opening match against Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves were too strong for the Blue Angels unfortunately, as Nebraska Wesleyan took the match in straight sets.
